Plan My Trip

• Wicklow Mountains • Historic Waterford • Medieval Kilkenny, including land train tour • Scenic South Coast • Sightseeing time in Dublin

Sunday: From local departure points we travel towards Wales for our overnight stop.

Monday: We head for the Welsh coast and the ferry crossing to Ireland, and on to Enniscorthy and Treacy’s Hotel in time for evening dinner.

Tuesday: A day at leisure.

Wednesday: A full day tour, first to the historic harbour town of Waterford, with its medieval city walls, picturesque quayside and thousand year old Reginald’s Tower. In the afternoon we enjoy a scenic tour along the Copper Coast to the old fishing port of Dungarvan where there are pleasant views across the expansive harbour.

Thursday: This morning we make our way to Dublin, with free time to explore Ireland’s ‘Fair City’. This afternoon we return with an enchanting journey through the mythical Wicklow Mountains. We visit the stunning vista of Glendalough and the Wicklow Gap before continuing towards the famous Meeting of the Waters - immortalised by the Irish poet Thomas Moore - and the beautiful Vale of Avoca.

Friday: A visit to Kilkenny, once the capital of Ireland, a well preserved ancient city with a restored castle, a 13th century cathedral, narrow alleyways and a retained atmosphere of its Celtic past. Enjoy a guided tour by land train before enjoying free time to explore at leisure.

Saturday: Leaving Enniscorthy, we head for our ferry to Wales and onwards to our final night.

Sunday: Return home.

Please note: On seven day holidays visits to Dublin and the Wicklow Mountains will take place on journey to or from Enniscorthy. Return home on Saturday.
