This stunning area is part of Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way, with a rugged and dramatic coastline shaped over the years by the mighty Atlantic Ocean, making way for splendid peaks and scenic valleys that carve through the county to great effect. Touring through this unspoilt region, there are spectacular mountains, majestic rivers and crystal-clear lakes, and a rich heritage where the Gaelic language and culture still prevail. We stay in Letterkenny, known as “The Cathedral Town” for its Gothic-style St Eunan’s Cathedral with its soaring spire. The main street is said to be the longest in Ireland, while the County Museum is housed in the former workhouse and reveals the heritage of the county. From here we see some of the area’s finest scenery, and also include a tour of the Antrim Coast, with a visit to Ireland’s finest natural wonder – the Giant’s Causeway and wee dram at the famous Bushmills Distillery.

Excursions
Your Itinerary:SATURDAY: We collect you from home with our Door to Door service and transfer you to your tour coach. From here, it is on to our overnight stop.
SUNDAY: An early start to catch the morning ferry from Holyhead, with a breakfast voucher provided on board, before we journey across Ireland to reach our hotel in Letterkenny for the next five nights.
MONDAY: To Derry-Londonderry today, the famous border city that gives a fascinating snapshot of Northern Irish history. Today, it remains the only completely walled city in Ireland and has a fine collection of architecture through the periods. We include a guided tour that explores the divided history, introduces the famous walled murals and showcases the best of the city. Afterwards, there will be free time to explore at your own leisure.
TUESDAY: A fascinating full day excursion to County Antrim. We pass the dramatic clifftop Dunluce Castle to visit the unique Giant’s Causeway, said to have been the work of the legendary Celtic giant, Finn McCool. Learn about the Causeway - often referred to as the ‘eighth wonder of the world ’-at the visitor centre before perhaps taking to the “steps” for a memorable experience. We also take time to visit Bushmills Irish Whiskey for a fascinating guided tour at this most famous of Irish whiskey distilleries.
WEDNESDAY: A day to relax and explore at leisure. The County Museum is well worth a visit, or perhaps take in the soaring St Eunan’s Cathedral.
THURSDAY: A memorable day as we explore the North West coastlines of Donegal, part of the scenic Wild Atlantic Way, a journey alongside tranquil inlets, remote beaches and rugged coastlines before skirting the spectacular white peak of Mount Errigal. We continue to the village of Kincasslagh and on to Donegal Town, a renowned centre for tweed and knitwear, before returning through the heart of the Derryveagh Mountains and scenic Barnesmore Gap.
FRIDAY: We head back across the island of Ireland to Dublin Port and our return ferry. We include a dinner voucher on board before disembarking in Holyhead and on to our overnight hotel.
SATURDAY: Our Irish adventure draws to a close as we return you safely to your home with our Door to Door service.
