Defence Of The Realm 2023
5 days
5 Days| Half Board | by Coach
Highlights: Biggin Hill Memorial Museum, Royal Engineers Museum, Dover Castle & White Cliffs, Spitfire and Hurricane Museum, Capel-le-Ferne, Battle of Britain Memorial, Battle of Britian Museum
Kent’s role in the defence of Britain during World War II was crucial and well documented. The first line of defence, the distinctive White Cliffs, was a sign of resilience and national sovereignty, both in vision and song, while the skies were busy with the sight of fighters and bombers passing over the Channel and returning home. On this break we combine memorials to the brave airmen of the RAF, and pay tribute to all those who lost their lives defending the Realm.
PLEASE NOTE: Price is per person and based on two people sharing a twin/double room. Single room supplements and upgrades are not included.
