Your Itinerary:

THURSDAY: Our Door to Door Service will collect you from home and transfer you to your tour coach, from where we continue to our Channel crossing and onward to our overnight stop.

FRIDAY: We continue our journey today through Germany and into Austria, arriving at our second overnight stop in time for dinner.

SATURDAY: Today we cross into Slovenia before reaching Croatia’s Istrian Peninsula and our hotel for 7 nights in the resort of Novigrad.

SUNDAY: After breakfast we meet our local guide and make the short journey to delightful Porec, beautifully situated beside the azure blue waters of the Adriatic. Our guided tour introduces you to its Roman architecture, as well as entrance to the UNESCO listed Euphrasian Basilica. After time at leisure and for lunch we continue to Rovinj where we include a guided tour of this once island city, nowadays a pretty little town brimming with cobbled lanes, pastel-toned buildings and a cathedral topping the skyline.

MONDAY: Exploring further down the Istrian Riviera today we head to the ancient Roman city of Pula. Our guide once more introduces us to the history and highlights of Pula, including the the first century Roman amphitheatre, as well as discovering the first century triumphal arch and temple of Rome and Augustus, and the magnificent cathedral. This afternoon we include a boat trip to the Brijuni National Park, a series of islands off the Istrian coast and in particular to theisland of Veliki Brijun, the former resident of Yugoslav President Tito.

TUESDAY: A day at leisure to relax, either enjoying the surroundings of your hotel or exploring the charming little resort of Novigrad.

WEDNESDAY: A further day at leisure to unwind and enjoy the local atmosphere.

THURSDAY: A day touring the countryside of Istria today as our guide takes us into the heart of the region. First we visit the medieval town of Motovun, walking the city walls and admiring the view of the surrounding countryside. We include lunch today in a traditional local restaurant, experiencing  local foods, before we make our way to the hilltop village Goznjan – known as an artists colony with over 20 galleries. Our guide takes us through the medieval lanes and winding stone alleys before enjoying free time to perhaps sample the local wines, olive oils and truffle-based cuisine.

FRIDAY: A further day at leisure today to enjoy Novigrad or perhaps take a local bus to explore further afield.

SATURDAY: After breakfast we begin our journey home, leaving beautiful Croatia behind and head for our overnight stop in Germany.

SUNDAY: We continue our journey through Germany to our final overnight stop.

MONDAY: Crossing the Channel today we make our way home, concluding our Croatian adventure with our Door to Door Service back to your home.
