Your ItineraryFULL DAY: Bath & Lacock
We head into the Roman city of Bath, where the centre is compact and walkable, and here we meet up with our expert guide for a walking tour encompassing the sights familiar from the very popular Bridgerton TV series as well as many other TV and film locations. This afternoon we come to Lacock, a picturesque, unspoiled village famous for its historic timber-framed cottages and its frequent use as a filming location for major productions like Downton Abbey, Cranford and Pride & Prejudice.
FULL DAY: Tetbury & Chavenage
We tour into the Cotswold Hills to Tetbury, a very attractive and historic Cotswold market town with many speciality shops to explore, but it is perhaps most famous as the rural home of King Charles III and the Princess Royal, who have resided here for decades. This afternoon we visit the historic Elizabethan manor house, Chavenage, portrayed as Trenwith in the recent Poldark series and as Candleford House in the drama Lark Rise to Candleford.
FULL DAY: Oxford
We head this morning to Oxford, where we join our expert guide for a walking tour of the historic city centre, where we are introduced to many of the famous locations utilised by the hugely popular Inspector Morse, Lewis and Endeavour TV series. There will be time to explore at leisure this legendary centre of learning dubbed the ‘City of Dreaming Spires’ before heading back.
