Holiday Summary
- Travel Type: Coach
For only one weekend every two years, Belgian begonia cultivators decorate Brussels Market Place with a beautiful flower carpet, using nearly one million flowers and measuring a massive 77 by 24 metres.
The famous carpet of flowers is laid right in the centre of the Grand Place and, for a small charge paid locally, can be admired best from the balcony of the City Hall, which is open to the public for the occasion. There's much more to Brussels, including historic buildings, grand squares and excellent food. We also include a full day visit to Bruges - a beautiful city known as the 'Venice of the North' and famed for its pretty canals and medieval architecture. Finally, we visit Ostend so you can enjoy the beaches and multitude of restaurants in this popular Belgian seaside resort.
PLEASE NOTE: Price is per person and based on two people sharing a twin/double room. Single room supplements and upgrades are not included.

Your Holiday Itinerary

Day Two (Brussels) - Have a leisurely breakfast, then we will commence our journey into the heart of the city of Brussels where you can enjoy time at leisure, sightseeing, shopping and exploring and of course, to see the amazing flower carpet.
Day Three (Brussels or Bruges) - Enjoy your breakfast before joining our return transfers into Brussels for a second day at leisure in the city. Alternatively you could join fabulous optional full day excursion to Bruges. This fairy-tale medieval town is utterly delightful and is not to be missed! Its circling canals and colourful buildings have given it the name ‘the little Venice of the North’.
