Weymouth, Seaton Tramway & Dorchester
5 Day Coach Holiday
Weymouth boasts a World Heritage Coastline with a picturesque old harbour from where you can watch all the comings and goings of luxury yachts, fishing trawlers and RNLI Lifeboats. Its award-winning beach is a sheltered long arc of fine golden sand, buzzing with the traditional seaside fun of donkey rides and Punch & Judy shows. The resort has a grand Georgian seafront lined with alfresco cafés and is the perfect place to unwind and watch the world go by. Relax in one of Weymouth’s many parks and gardens or browse the independent boutiques in the town centre. Maybe you’d like to experience the sights and sounds of nature at the town’s wetland reserve in the heart of this holiday haven. If you’re a history buff, don’t miss the award winning Nothe Fort. It was built by the Victorians and is now a popular visitor attraction with secret passageways to explore. Head up to the fort’s striking ramparts to enjoy breathtaking views of the Jurassic Coast.

Your ExcursionsSeaton Tramway & Lyme Regis
Our first treat today is a trip aboard the award winning Seaton Tramway, a narrow gauge heritage tram taking you on a journey along the River Exe estuary and through two nature reserves, enjoying unrivalled views of unspoilt countryside and wading birds. We continue to Lyme Regis, a village set against moody blue cliffs with an intriguing mystique and a harbour called ‘the Cobb’. The resort has a number of historical landmarks, most notably the fourteenth century watermill and the fascinating Leper’s Well. Perhaps unwind in pretty Lister Gardens or visit the interesting seafront museum.
Dorchester & Jurassic Coast
The market town of Dorchester was the inspiration for fictional “Casterbridge” in Thomas Hardy’s novels and is home to a statue of the great author. There is also a must see Roman Town House that was uncovered in the 1930s and is now a Grade I listed monument. We return via the breathtaking Jurassic Coast with its dramatic cliffs, secluded coves, shingle banks and sandy beaches.
Bournemouth & Poole
Unwind on Bournemouth’s beautiful beach, explore the pleasure piers, wander through the pedestrianised shopping area, or visit Russell-Cotes Art Gallery, housed in a Grade I listed building and presenting themed displays. Poole boasts a picturesque natural harbour edged by waterside cafes. Relax in Compton Acres gardens or popular Poole Park. Perhaps take a short boat trip from Poole Quay.
