This sightseeing getaway is based in Castlebar, County Mayo, where you’ll have free time to perhaps take a stroll through the Mayo Peace Park or wander around Lough Lannagh. Look forward to a guided walking tour of Galway, home to Eyre Square, which dates back to medieval times. A special treat will be our cruise along Ireland’s only glacial fjord, taking in the views and watching out for playful dolphins. We also visit the National Museum of Ireland - Country Life, set in parkland and home to all things Irish.

Guided Walking Tour of Galway
This handsome city is ideally compact for a stroll through its winding streets. Attractions include medieval Lynch’s Castle, Eyre Square and a Latin Quarter. The city’s impressive cathedral is located on Nuns’ Island, accessed by a bridge, and featuring a mighty dome.
Killary Fjord Cruise & Westport
We board our boat for a cruise around Ireland’s only glacial fjord, sailing past the Twelve Bens and the sky-scraping Maumturk mountain ranges. This nine mile long inlet gives panoramic views of the rugged Connemara landscape and is one of the most stunning areas along the Wild Atlantic Way. Afterwards, free time in Westport.
National Museum of Ireland - Country Life
A morning visit to the National Museum of Ireland - Country Life, home to the National Folklife Collection. The Times: Rural Ireland 1850 – 1950 is one of the permanent exhibitions and it showcases events from the aftermath of the Great Famine. Free time in Castlebar in the afternoon.
