Westport, Carrick-On-Shannon & Rose Of Innisfree
5 days
5 Day Coach Holiday
This holiday of contrasts is based in the traditional market town of Tubercurry in County Sligo, where we stay at popular Murphy’s Hotel. Resting at the foot of the Ox Mountians, Tubercurry features quaint streets and is close to Knockashee - the Legendary Hill of the Faeries and one of the seven sacred hills of Ireland. We venture out to quaint Cong where the 1952 classic movie, The Quiet Man was filmed then continue to Westport, an enchanting town on the edge of an Atlantic inlet with a Georgian town centre and stone bridges linking a tree-lined promenade on the banks of the Carrowbeg River. We feast our eyes on the beautiful riverbanks the poet, WB Yeats described when we cruise on Lough Gill aboard the Rose of Innisfree. We also spend a day in colourful Carrick-on-Shannon, the thriving county town of County Leitrim with a modern marina that gives access to the River Shannon. Our final treat is a visit to King House, a lovingly restored Georgian mansion.
PLEASE NOTE: Price is per person and based on two people sharing a twin/double room. Single room supplements and upgrades are not included.
