All the fun of the seaside is in store at wonderful Weston with sandy beaches, a level promenade, and a Grand Pier with its ghost train, amusement arcades, and traditional tearoom. We venture out to Bath home to an abbey, guildhall, Pulteney Bridge and the remarkable Roman Baths. On another day we visit Taunton, where the twelfth century great hall in Somerset Castle houses the Museum of Somerset and the Military Museum. We move on to medieval Wells, with its magnificent cathedral and the moated Bishop’s Palace. With a choice of hotels on Weston-super-Mare’s seafront.
