All the joy of the seaside is in store at wonderful Weston with miles of sandy beaches and a level promenade giving stunning views over the Bristol Channel. The resort’s Grand Pier is steeped in Victorian history and exudes old world charm with a ghost train, amusement arcades, and a traditional tearoom, making it everyone’s house of fun! Perhaps head to Grove Park, home to Jill’s Garden, a peaceful plot in memory of local television presenter, Jill Dando. Maybe take a boat trip to Steep Holm Island or uncover local history at the museum. Visit the Winter Gardens Pavilion or have fun at Crazy Hills Putting miniature golf course. Don’t miss the Helicopter Museum, the largest of its kind on the planet and where you’ll be amazed by the collection of well preserved historic choppers from around the world and intrigued by the interactive zones. We venture out to Cheddar Gorge, an area of outstanding natural beauty with dramatic cliffs and spectacular stalactite caverns. From here, we continue to medieval Wells, the country’s smallest city where you’ll find a towering cathedral and moated palace. We enjoy a day in Roman Bath where you can feast your eyes on landmarks such as the breathtaking abbey, guildhall, Pulteney Bridge and the outstanding Roman Baths. Your Excursions

Cheddar Gorge & Wells
We begin our day at Cheddar Gorge, an area of outstanding beauty with dramatic cliffs and spectacular stalactite caverns that reveal stories of our prehistoric ancestors. Its Gough’s Cave was home to ‘Cheddar Man’ – Britain’s oldest, complete skeleton, which was discovered in 1903. The cavern also features the largest underground river in the UK. We continue to medieval Wells, home to a magnificent cathedral with a soaring tower, and to the moated Bishop’s Palace & Gardens.
Bath
Bath rests in the valley of the River Avon and is the largest city in Somerset. Take a stroll through the centuries with eye-catching landmarks including the splendid gothic abbey, Guild Hall, Theatre Royal, Royal Crescent and the picturesque Pulteney Bridge with its procession of shops. Don’t miss the Roman Baths – one of the most complete ancient sites in the world.
Tiverton, Horse Drawn Canal Cruise & Burnham-on-Sea
We journey to the town of Tiverton, home to a fifteenth century church, castle remains and a well-preserved merchant’s house. Look forward to a nostalgic horse-drawn barge trip along the picturesque Grand Western Canal. Afterwards, we continue to quaint Burnham-on-Sea, a former fishing village and now a popular seaside resort with a wide sandy beach and level promenade.
