5 Day Coach Holiday

We call at Hebden Bridge where the Bohemian streets were the onetime haunt of writers and artists. Onwards  to enchanting Oxenhope for our nostalgic train trip through Brontë country aboard the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway, a heritage attraction that appeared in the 1970 film, The Railway Children. Another delight is Haworth, best known as the home of the literary dynasty Brontë sisters, then it is Saltaire World Heritage Site where we visit grandiose Salts Mill. Our final treat is Holmfirth, a quaint market town that was the setting for the much loved TV show, Last of the Summer Wine.

Your Excursions

Hebden Bridge & Keighley & Worth Valley Railway
Our first stop is at the picturesque riverside town of Hebden Bridge. We continue to historic Oxenhope where we step back in time at the station when we board our carriage for an evocative train ride to the pretty town of Keighley for some free time.
Haworth & Saltaire Salts Mill
We step into a bygone era at Haworth, home of the famous Brontë sisters and where you might like to visit the Brontë Parsonage Museum, filled with the authors’ manuscripts. We move on to Saltaire World Heritage Site where we visit Salts Mill, a Grade II listed building filled with independent shops and art, including a collection by David Hockney.
Holmfirth
We call at the Last of the Summer Wine town of Holmfirth, located amidst stunning scenery where the rivers Holme and Ribble meet. It features cobbled streets flanked by historic stone buildings and is an archetypal Yorkshire village from bygone days. Perhaps have a cuppa in Sid’s café
