The Georgian Gem Of Whitehaven
5 Day Coach Holiday
This enchanting holiday is based just outside the Georgian gem of Whitehaven, a port town on the west coast of Cumbria, close to the Lake District National Park. Here you’ll find a pretty seventeenth century harbour and elegant architecture along with a host of attractions such as the award winning Beacon Museum with its four floors of interactive history. Perhaps discover the mysteries of the rum trade at the authentic Dark Spirit of Whitehaven Warehouse, set in an original eighteenth century shop and where you can experience life in an old world Georgian town before being transported to an exotic Caribbean island as the story of rum unfolds. Out and about we visit mighty Muncaster Castle & Gardens, take a scenic trip on the narrow gauge Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway and explore the stunning Lake District, calling at William Wordsworth’s Cockermouth and the quaint market town of Keswick.
PLEASE NOTE: Price is per person and based on two people sharing a twin/double room. Single room supplements and upgrades are not included.
Muncaster Castle & Gardens and the Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway

Here you will find a memorial to the great poet as well as the Georgian townhouse where he was born. Attractions in Keswick include nineteenth century Moot Hall as well as art and craft galleries.
Whitehaven & Workington
Enjoy a visit into the heart of Whitehaven for free time to explore the resort at your own
pace – don’t miss the Dark Spirit of Whitehaven Warehouse.
