Sussex Seaside Sensations At A Leisurely Pace
6 Day Coach Holiday
St Leonards and Hastings nestle on England’s south-east coast and are so close together, it’s hard to see where they join. The St Leonards end features Regency terraces and squares whilst Hastings is a traditional seaside resort with a sand and shingle beach, pleasant promenade and pleasure pier. Hastings well-preserved Old Town features an enchanting blend of narrow streets, half-timbered dwellings and hidden passageways. Perhaps visit the keep and bailey castle where you are transported back in time as you wander through the whispering dungeons and learn how the 1066 battle unfolded. We enjoy an overnight hotel stop en route so you arrive refreshed and raring to go.
PLEASE NOTE: Price is per person and based on two people sharing a twin/double room. Single room supplements and upgrades are not included.
Eastbourne is home to the famous Carpet Gardens, a traditional bandstand, miniature steam railway and a pleasure pier where you might like to treat yourself to afternoon tea. The resort’sRedoubt Fortress was built during the Napoleonic wars and is well worth a visit. Wander the level promenade or hop aboard the little land train for a fun way to see the sights.
Brighton is an exhilarating coastal city with a broad, shingle beach flanked by grand townhouses while the pretty marina features luxury yachts and a stylish shopping boulevard. Don’t miss the legendary pier with its fairground rides, amusements and deckchairs or the resort’s landmark Royal Pavilion - the lavish seaside palace of George IV housing fine furniture and works of art. Within the palace grounds you’ll find a splendid art gallery and museum with exhibitions of paintings and fashion.
