7 Night Ocean Cruise
This week-long sailing during endless summer days treats you to a hat trick of chocolate box Norwegian towns along with a cavalcade of spectacular fjords showcasing dramatic cliffs, mirror-like waters, distinctive rock formations and cascading waterfalls. After a day at sea, Ambition glides you into Stavanger, a picturesque city with a thousand years of seafaring traditions and where the old town oozes charm with winding streets and ancient wooden houses. Then it’s Eidfjord, possibly the most beautiful place in the fjords, as well as your gateway to the Hardangervidda Mountain Plateau nature reserve. More stunning scenery where gushing waterfalls tumble down rugged mountains is in store as you sail through Austefjorden. Olden is next, a town nestled amidst spectacular landscapes and just twelve miles from the famous Briksdal Glacier. Another fun and relaxing day on the ocean waves brings you back to Dundee.

Your Holiday Itinerary
Day One. You will be picked up at home and transferred to Dundee to board Ambition. Settle into your cabin then explore the ship before a mid-afternoon departure.Day Two. Relax, unwind and enjoy the sea air as your ship sails towards Norway. Enjoy daytime activities such as quizzes, games and various classes or relax in the Green Sea Spa. Tuck into the delicious cuisine then settle down for top notch entertainment.
Day Three. Ambition arrives in Stavanger this morning. Once ashore, you can wander the cobbled streets perhaps calling at the twelfth century cathedral or plunge into maritime history at the Norwegian Petroleum Museum. Maybe you’d like to chill out on the swathe of sandy beach or stroll down Holmegate, a street where the buildings are painted every colour of the rainbow.
Day Four. Your ship cruises into Eidfjord this morning, a place of picture postcard beauty. Perhaps explore the rugged paths of Hardangervidda National Park or board the Troll Train for a fifty minute guided sightseeing circuit of this gorgeous region, taking in burial mounds from the Iron Age and Viking era. Maybe you’d rather just take in the views in a quayside café.
Day Five. Ambition glides into Austefjorden this morning where you will be awestruck by the beauty of nature. Take a boat trip through the tranquil fjord waters, flanked by towering cliffs, or discover quaint and traditional villages like Folkestad and Volda where local culture thrives.
Day Six. Wake up in the tiny village of Olden this morning. This pretty settlement is one of the most popular destinations for cruise ships. It has cosy cafes, gift shops and an ancient church. Perhaps take the short trip to the million-years-old Briksdal Glacier.
Day Seven. Another day at sea to enjoy Ambition’s wide range of facilities, fabulous entertainment, stylish bars, and excellent food.
Day Eight. We arrive back in Dundee early this morning from where you will be retuned home after a delightful Norwegian cruise.
