This magical holiday presents romantic German Christmas markets with twinkling lights along with the sweet scent of mulled wine and gingerbread filling the air. First up is Dusseldorf, a city transformed into a winter’s tale with a themed market featuring festively adorned huts radiating with colourful lights around a sparkling ice-skating rink in its storybook old town. Next day, explore the ancient alleys of captivating Cologne, where the magnificent cathedral makes a glorious backdrop for the city’s yuletide fayre, and you’ll find wooden pavilions, traditional music and a festive ambience along with a huge Christmas tree. Our festive extravaganza continues in Aachen which oozes a unique blend of medieval charm where a lovingly adorned Christmas village nestles around the cathedral. We return to our ferry via the Hague for free time at the Netherlands’ most beautiful market. Staying at the four star &Repeat Koln Hotel in the district of Wahnheide to the south east of Cologne.

Overnight Ferry to Continent
Your holiday moves up a gear when you board your overnight ferry for your sailing to the continent. Drop your overnight bag in your cabin then explore the ship or unwind with an aperitif in one of the bars.
On Board Dining
Unless otherwise specified, all GLENTON continental holidays include dinner and breakfast onboard. Head to buffet restaurant where your waiter will show you to your table and take your order if you wish to purchase any drinks. Then you’re free to help yourself from the wide selection of tasty dishes from around the world. At breakfast, choose from continental or a fully cooked menu. Alternatively if you fancy treating yourself, why not upgrade to the à la carte restaurant and enjoy fine dining with full waiter service?
Please note meals are not included on our Amsterdam mini cruises, although there will be an option to purchase a meal package at the time of booking.
Entertainment
Make your way to the show lounge and enjoy live entertainment throughout the evening – or take your place on the dance floor for a wee boogie! Perhaps you’d like to catch a blockbuster movie at the cinema or try your luck at the casino.

Your GLENTON continental holiday includes an air conditioned inside en suite cabin with bunk beds. However, you can upgrade to a cabin with level beds and/or sea view for a small supplement. Please ask your holiday advisor when booking.
