St Annes & Southport
4 or 5 Day Coach Holiday
St Annes is a classic seaside resort with manicured gardens, rolling sand dunes, lovingly restored Victorian pier, boating lakes and a charming promenade. Perhaps visit the historic windmill on Lytham Green, the Heritage Centre or Grade I listed Lytham Hall which houses fine art and furnishings. This grandiose Georgian house is set in parkland and has a pleasant tearoom. Maybe you’d like to head to Fairhaven Lake to watch out for wildlife, play a game of crazy golf or relax in Ashton Gardens where you’ll be enchanted by the ornate grounds and tumbling waterfalls. We visit delightful Southport where we include a stop at the resort’s botanic gardens. On our five day holidays, we also spend a day in Lancaster, where landmarks include the gothic revival cathedral, the Grade I listed priory and the Georgian townhouse known as the Judges Lodgings. We include entry to the city’s foreboding castle, a mighty fortress with origins dating back to the Romans.
