Enjoy a series of seaside sensations on one fun-filled beach break. You’ll be based in the picturesque coastal haven of St Annes, truly a classic resort with floral gardens, rolling sand dunes a beautifully restored Victorian pier, boating lakes and a charming promenade. Perhaps visit the historic windmill on Lytham Green, the Heritage Centre which occupies a Grade II listed building or the fine Georgian House of Lytham Hall that is set in beautiful parkland and has a pleasant tearoom. We spend a day at the coastal delight of Morecambe – known as the gateway to the English Lakes. Morecambe boasts a level promenade, stretching for five miles, it's simply perfect for a stroll while the resort’s Stone Jetty has been revamped as an area of art. At the heart of the waterfront you’ll find a statue of the town’s most famous son – comedy legend Eric Morecambe. We also visit the traditional seaside towns of Fleetwood and Cleveleys.
Renowned for the variety of seabirds such as steel cormorants, gannets and razorbills along with the other wildlife that inhabit the resort’s bay, the local TERN project celebrates this abundance of nature with a series of striking sculptures positioned along its seafront. Relax on the sweep of golden sands or maybe head to Happy Mount Park which dates from the 1920s and is home to brass bands, ornamental gardens, nature trails, a putting green and café. Don’t forgot to have your photo taken with – comedian Eric Morecambe striking his famous pose!
Fleetwood Market & Cleveleys
Fleetwood’s traditional market has an authentic setting and over a hundred indoor and outdoor stalls offering a variety of products. We continue along the coast to the quaint seaside town of Cleveleys where you’ll find a peaceful promenade edging the sweeping sands and a bustling town centre.
