Itinerary

Overview

Enjoy all the delights Southport has to offer and experience the sights and sounds of two fascinating cities whilst staying at the luxurious Ramada Plaza Hotel. Southport’s attractions include a Grade II listed pleasure pier, marine lake, botanic gardens, the Waterfront Art Project and the quirky British Lawnmower Museum. Chester is a historic gem of a city with a beautiful cathedral, old City Walls, half timbered buildings and an impressive Roman amphitheatre. Liverpool is the onetime home of The Beatles and boasts the iconic Mersey Ferry as well as historic Albert Dock where you’ll find the International Slavery Museum and the Tate Liverpool.

Your Holiday Itinerary

Day One. From local joining points we head south to Southport and check into the Ramada Plaza Hotel.

Day Two. Enjoy a day at leisure to explore Southport.

Day Three. Tuck into breakfast before we head to the picturesque walled city of Chester for free time. Walk the old city walls, soak up the serene ambience in the beautiful cathedral, view Eastgate with its clock that marks the entrance to the Roman Fortress, stroll along the banks of the River Dee or discover “The Rows” and Roman amphitheatre.

Day Four. Liverpool is our treat today. Perhaps visit the legendary Cavern Club, birthplace of the Beatles, view the fine paintings at the Walker Art Gallery or the exhibits of Egyptian mummies at the World Museum. Hop aboard a ferry across the Mersey or explore Albert Dock, the pulsating heart of Liverpool’s historic waterfront and housing the International Slavery Museum and Tate Liverpool.

Day Five. After breakfast, we travel home.
