Garden lovers are spoiled for choice with acres of parks such as the Alum Chine Gardens with its tropical flowers, shaded paths and sea views. Admire the exquisite architecture like the Gothic-Revival St Peter’s Church or perhaps visit Russell-Cotes Art Gallery, housed in a Grade I listed building and presenting themed displays. Maybe catch the local bus to the Aviation Museum where you can climb into a cockpit as you view historic aircraft. An exciting itinerary sees us hopping aboard a ferry to idyllic St Peter Port in Guernsey where you’ll be enchanted by the tapestry of hidden alleyways, tiered gardens and Regency houses. On another day, we glide across the water to the chocolate box scenery of the Isle of Wight with its sandstone cliffs and thatched roofed villages. Outings to pretty Poole and the upmarket resort of Sandbanks complete an enticing getaway.
