Standing magnificently in forty-five acres of parkland near Harrogate, this eighteenth century Grade II listed mansion is said to be where King Edward VIII met Mrs Wallis Simpson. The grand interior boasts Tuscan columns, stained glass panels, grand staircase and a marble fireplace while the spectacular grounds feature a fishing lake and award-winning gardens. We venture out to spend a day in the storybook city of York, home to a gothic minister and Viking museum. We also visit the Victorian spa town of Harrogate with its elegant Montpelier Quarter and famous Betty’s Tearooms.
