Accommodation
Bodelwyddan Castle Hotel - North Wales Warner Leisure Hotels
You’ll find no finer example of a romantic Victorian folly than this heady mix of gothic, Jacobean and Greek revival architecture. Set within the grounds of a romantic castle with all the amenities of a modern hotel this grandiose Grade II property is near the Denbighshire coast. Bodelwyddan Castle was requisitioned by the army during World War I for the practice of trench warfare. It later became Lowther College and its Royale Bedroom was originally the headmaster’s study. It is home to the National Portrait Gallery’s Victorian Collection as well a sculpture gallery, vaulted ceiling and marble chimneypiece. Stretch your legs on a woodland walk or try archery, rifle shooting, zumba, French boules, quoits, table tennis or snooker.
