This nineteenth century coaching inn boasts an idyllic location at the foot of the ‘Arrochar Alps’, on the shores of sparkling Loch Long, just a few miles from the bonnie, bonnie banks of Loch Lomond. It commands picturepostcard views across the glassy water and is both a blissful hideaway and the perfect base from which to explore this spectacular region.

Your Excursions
Callander & Loch Katrine CruiseWe make our way to Callander for some free time to perhaps enjoy the souvenir shops and cafés. Later, we continue to the Trossachs Pier to board our boat then enjoy wonderful vistas as we cruise Loch Katrine. Its beauty inspired Sir Walter Scott and William Wordsworth.
Oban
Oban boasts a whisky distillery with a visitor centre as well as Dunollie Museum, Castle & Grounds. This heritage site is where you can uncover local history, explore Laird’s House, relax in the Faerie Garden and enjoy a cuppa at The Kettle Gardens Café. McCaig’s Tower on Battery Hill is a circular folly with coastal views.
Loch Lomond Cruise & Luss
We head to Luss to board our cruiser where we experience the majestic beauty of Loch Lomond taking in the fjord-like backdrop as we glide around the bonnie, bonnie banks. Afterwards we enjoy free time in this quaint conservation village.
