Your Holiday Itinerary
Day One. From local joining points we make our way to Fort William where we check into the Croit Anna Hotel for our three night stay.
Day Two. Treats kick off as we wind our way to mysterious Loch Ness, playground of legendary Nessie. Here we board our boat for a relaxing cruise from Drumnadrochit to Urquhart Castle. Learn the history and myths of this storybook loch as you sail past stunning landmarks whilst listening to intriguing tales and watching out for the monster on the onboard live sonar monitor. We step ashore to explore Urquhart Castle where you can climb the Grant Tower, peer into a gloomy jail cell and view the extraordinary artefacts.
Day Three. Our day begins in the harbour town of Oban which boasts a level esplanade and stunning views across the Firth of Lorne. From here we set sail to the captivating Isle of Mull, home to an unspoiled landscape, a rich history and pastel painted Tobermory.
Day Four. We check out and journey to the mystical Isle of Skye for a guided tour. Watch out for long deserted castles, sky-scraping mountains, ancient churches, pristine beaches, whitewashed cottages and golden eagles gracing the skies. We continue to the Gairloch Hotel and check in for our four night stay.
Day Five. Our day gets underway with a visit to the Highland capital of Inverness. Later we board our boat then set sail in search of blue nosed dolphins in the Moray Firth. This stretch of water is surrounded by places of historic interest such as Chanonry Point with its iconic lighthouse.
Day Six. A morning visit to the picturesque fishing village of Ullapool on the shores of Loch Broom. Our next gem is a guided tour of Inverewe Estate, an oasis of rare plants and intriguing history. Dating from the mid-nineteenth century, these gardens have been carefully sculpted over time and the exotic plants are nurtured by warm currents from the Gulf Stream. The National Trust’s Inverewe House stands proudly at the heart of the gardens with each room telling the inspiring story behind Inverewe.
Day Seven. We’re off to Plockton, the location for BBC TV’s Hamish Macbeth and the starting point for our trip on the world famous Kyle Line. Sit back and savour eighty awe-inspiring miles of gorgeous scenery as we journey to Strathpeffer.
Day Eight. After breakfast, we make our way home
