Our base is the Britannia Grand Hotel, a landmark building built in the shape of a ‘V’ to signify Queen Victoria and occupying a great location overlooking the South Bay. The Harbour Lights Restaurant offers beautiful views and there is also a pleasant lounge, coffee shop and ballroom. Excursions take us to old world Whitby, home to the churchyard that inspired the novel Dracula and to Captain Cook’s harbourside house. We also spend a day in fairytale York with its magnificent minster.Back to top
