Scone Palace & AberfeldyStanding proudly amidst beautiful parkland, Scone Palace is a listed historic house where Macbeth, Robert the Bruce and Charles II were all crowned. Explore the State Rooms where Queen Victoria was entertained en route to Balmoral and view the fine furniture and objects d’art including the needlework of Mary Queen of Scots. We continue to the quaint market town of Aberfeldy, set on the banks of the River Tay and home to the Birks of Aberfeldy – a circular walkway through mature woodland which is named after a poem of the same title by Robert Burns.
Blair Castle & Gardens
Today we visit this magnificent castle, transformed over the centuries from bleak medieval beginnings to become a fine Georgian mansion and finally a Victorian castle in the baronial style.
Loch Tummel
Our half day scenic drive takes us along the banks of lovely Loch Tummel and we include a stop at the Queen’s View Visitor Centre before returning to Pitlochry for free time.
