5 Day Coach Holiday
An enchanting holiday, based at the Westport Woods Hotel & Spa, an idyllic retreat on the outskirts of Westport. This grand Georgian town has an irresistible attraction that leaves you longing to explore. You’ll find splendid churches, a heritage centre and stone bridges linking a treelined promenade on the banks of the Carrowbeg River. Out and about, we head to Connemara National Park on the west coast of Ireland, where you’ll be awestruck by stunning vistas, spread over two thousand hectares. Here we visit Kylemore Abbey & Gardens, the jewel in the Connemara crown, and one of Galway’s top attractions. We venture out to quaint Cong where the 1952 classic movie, The Quiet Man was filmed then continue to the pilgrimage town of Knock. Our final outing takes us along the spectacular Wild Atlantic Way to Achill Island with its blend of stunning scenery and historical sites, before calling at Castlebar and the National Museum of Ireland - Country Life.

Connemara National Park & Kylemore Abbey & Gardens
Prepare to be wowed by breathtaking views as we head into magnificent Connemara National Park with its lofty mountains, dazzling loughs, stunning coastlines, heaths and woodlands. Perhaps learn about the changes in the landscape since the Ice Age at the Visitor Centre and enjoy a cuppa at the café. We continue to picture perfect Kylemore
Abbey & Gardens, a historic estate enjoying a beautiful lakeside setting with a gothic church, Victorian walled garden, and an intriguing past. This afternoon enjoy some free time to explore Westport.
Guided Tour of Cong & Knock
We head firstly to the picturesque village of Cong, where the Oscar winning movie, The Quiet Man was filmed. Here we enjoy a guided walking tour learning all about Hollywood movie makers arriving in this sleepy settlement, then visit the museum with its exact replicas of the furniture and artefacts from the movie. Later we continue to the historic and unique pilgrimage village of Knock home to a Marian Shrine.
Achill Island, Castlebar and National Museum of Ireland - Country Life
Look forward to a scenic coastal drive along the Wild Atlantic Way, winding our way through picturesque Clew Bay to Achill Island - home to sandy beaches, a Neolithic tomb and a deserted village. We then call at the quintessential Irish town of Castlebar for some free time, then head to the National Museum of Ireland - Country Life where the story of Irish life between 1850 and 1950 unfolds.
