Llandudno & Tenby Seaside Medley
8 Day Coach Holiday
TWIN CENTRE HOLIDAY
Enjoy wonderful Welsh seaside sojourns on this twin-centre beach bonanza! First up is Llandudno, a Victorian gem that promises all the fun of a traditional British break with its sandy beach, pleasure pier, and an esplanade with Punch & Judy shows. The resort is edged by Great Orme, a limestone headland and nature reserve and you can head to Victoria Station to catch the tramway up to the summit or stroll to Happy Valley Gardens and hop on a cable car to ascend the 679 feet. Board a vintage bus for a trip around the coast, walk through tunnels that were mined over 3500 years ago at Great Orme Mines, discover how life was during World War II at the Home Front Experience, browse exhibits revealing Llandudno’s history at the local museum or view art at Mostyn Gallery. We move on to coastal Tenby, established as a fortified town by the Normans and regarded as the prettiest resort in Wales. Much of its thirteenth century walls remain, encircling the medieval settlement and its labyrinth of narrow alleyways in a sheltered old world cocoon. Enchanting excursions take in Anglesey, Beaumaris, quirky Portmeirion, Aberystwyth, and St Davids – Britain’s smallest city.
PLEASE NOTE: Price is per person and based on two people sharing a twin/double room. Single room supplements and upgrades are not included.

Your Holiday ItineraryDay One. We make our way to LLandudno and check into the White Heather Hotel for our four night stay.
Day Two. Explore Llandudno at your own pace. Head to the beach or pleasure pier, take a trip on the tramway, cable car or vintage bus, discover life during World War II at the Home Front Experience, browse exhibits at the local museum or Mostyn Gallery. Maybe
stroll around Happy Valley Gardens with its druid stone circle, bust of Queen Victoria and a camera obscura which dates back to 1860.
Day Three. We cross the Menai Bridge to Anglesey, an island with picture postcard towns and unusual ‘moonscape’ backdrops that are home to plants and wildlife. We pause at Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch – a village with the longest place name in Europe. We call at the Woollen Mill here before moving on to Beaumaris with its imposing World Heritage site castle. Perhaps treat yourself to a short boat trip or visit the seventeenth century courthouse museum.
Day Four. We visit the Mediterranean style village of Portmeirion, built in the style of an Italian village and familiar to some as the setting for the classic TV series, The Prisoner. This stunning curiosity is a jumble of pastel-painted buildings enjoying a dramatic cliff top setting. Attractions include a central square, gothic pavilion and ornate town hall.
Day Five. We check out of our hotel and travel to Aberystwyth for some free time to maybe take in its promenade, beach, ruined castle and the university where King Charles once studied. We continue to Tenby where we check into the Clarence House Hotel for three nights.
Day Six. A day at leisure in Tenby. You’ll find quirky shops and pavement cafes while beaches reach out in all directions like a carpet of gold. Perhaps visit the atmospheric Tudor Merchant’s House. Boats sail from Tenby harbour to the monastic island of Caldey whilst, at low tide, St Catherine’s Island is linked to the town.
Day Seven. Picture postcard St Davids is our treat today. Named after the country’s patron saint and Britain’s smallest city, it has a splendid 6th century cathedral, built from pink and grey stone, with a Towergate House and Bell Tower. There is also an interesting,
ruined Bishop’s Palace.
Day Eight. Enjoy breakfast before we depart for home after a wonderful time.
