Enjoy time in two popular tourist magnets on this tale of two cities. Liverpool is an exciting metropolis with listed buildings, superb museums, notable landmarks, and our guided tour will get your sightseeing off to a great start. Follow the time-honoured tradition of boarding the colourful ferry across the Mersey for the ultimate sightseeing experience. Don’t miss Albert Dock, home to The Beatles Story, Tate Liverpool, Merseyside Maritime Museum, a Victorian Carousel and The International Slavery Museum as well as shops, bars and restaurants. Other attractions include the Cavern Club, Strawberry Field, Royal Liver Building, and the Walker Art Gallery. We visit Chester, a historic gem on the River Dee where you can walk the city walls, take a boat trip, visit the cathedral, or discover the Roman amphitheatre, the castle, and The Rows. We also travel to the distinctive village of Port Sunlight, named after the Lever Brothers’ innovative soap product, and one of the greatest industrial workers settlements in the world. Here we include entry to the award-winning museum which tells the story of how the village developed. We also visit the Lady Lever Art Gallery, an elaborate building housing some of the UK’s finest art.

Chester
Discover the endless charms of Chester with its hidden treasures such as the thirteenth century gallery of half-timbered shops. Walk the city walls or visit the cathedral, a beautiful building that began life as a Saxon Minster. View the Eastgate Clock, the Roman amphitheatre, the castle and The Rows, take a boat trip on the River Dee, or use the city’s hop on, hop off tourist bus to see the sights. If you’re not squeamish, discover the history of medicine at the Sick to Death Museum!

Port Sunlight Museum & Lady Lever Art Gallery
We head to the unique and charming village of Port Sunlight where you’ll find over nine hundred Grade II listed buildings, nestled amidst 130 acres of stunning parkland. It was founded by ‘Soap King’ William Hesketh Lever in 1888, to house Lever’s Sunlight Soap factory workers. We include entry to the museum that tells the village’s story with exhibitions such as a recreated 1900s grocery shop and a Beatles Over the Water display exploring Port Sunlight’s place in the story of the Fab Four. We also visit the Lady Lever Art Gallery where you’ll find quite remarkable paintings, tapestries, Wedgwood, sculptures, and embroideries.

Our guided tour of Liverpool, taking in the landmark buildings and attractions, will get your sightseeing off to a great start. Afterwards, free time to perhaps visit Albert Dock where you’ll find The Beatles Story, The Tate Liverpool, International Slavery Museum and the Merseyside Maritime Museum – or catch the ferry across the Mersey.
