Plan My Trip

Historic Dungarvan is our base for this enticing holiday. This colourful town features arts galleries, craft shops and a Gothic church while the pretty harbour bustles with pleasure boats. We explore the Copper Coast popping into pretty Tramore and wonderful Waterford - a thousand-year-old city with a medieval flavour, atmospheric streets and a lively waterfront. Other treats include cultural Cork as well as New Ross, located on the banks of the River Barrow and where you might like to visit the Dunbrody Famine Ship, an exact replica of the ship that took thousands of Irish people from the Great Famine to a new life in America.

Your Excursions

Tramore & Waterford
We drive along the Copper Coast to the golden sands of Tramore before continuing to wonderful Waterford. Founded by the Vikings, Waterford is home to a museum chronicling the city’s history as well as Waterford Crystal where two centuries of crystal manufacturing unfold and the latest masterpieces are created right before your eyes.

Home to impressive architecture such as the imposing triple spired cathedral and stately city hall. Perhaps visit the haunting nineteenth century City Gaol or view the fascinating exhibitions at the Vision Centre.

New Ross
Home to the ruins of a Cistercian abbey and leafy woodland walks. The town’s main attraction is the Dunbrody Famine Ship. One of Ireland’s premier tourist attractions, this authentic reproduction of an 1840s vessel features costumed performers and themed displays as you experience life as famine emigrant. Elsewhere in New Ross you’ll find the John F Kennedy Memorial Park where the visitor centre houses exhibitions and an audiovisual show.
