Where better to see in the New Year than the Highlands of bonnie Scotland! You’ll be based in Grantown-on-Spey, a picturesque town perched on the northern edge of the Cairngorms National Park and known as the ‘capital’ of Speyside. Grantown-on-Spey features a wide main street that is typical of the Georgian era in which it was built. You’ll also find a network of easily accessible forest walks in its Anagach Woods. Staying at the popular Craiglynne Hotel, where you can look forward to a traditional Scottish Hogmanay!

Your Holiday Itinerary
Day One. Look forward to mulled wine and a warm welcome from the Craiglynne team who will pull out all the stops to make your Hogmanay unforgettable! Settle into your room, then perhaps relax with a drink before dinner then live entertainment gets the celebrations going!Hogmanay. After breakfast we head to Inverness to soak up the yuletide atmosphere. Perhaps stroll through the city’s compact and walkable Old Town centred around Church Street and the riverside. Visit the castle and cathedral, browse the covered Victorian Market, wander around Ness Islands, or just enjoy local hospitality. Back at your hotel, enjoy a glass of fizz & canapes reception, five course Scottish banquet, traditional entertainment including a piper for the Bells, then haggis, neeps & tatties to fuel your dancing into the wee small hours!
New Year’s Day. Buck’s Fizz brunch. Relax or explore Grantown-on-Spey - a handsome town dating from the mid-eighteenth century with elegant Georgian architecture. Guess the weight of the cake and afternoon quiz with coffee & shortbread. Chef’s gala buffet then live entertainment including a prize winning quiz and games.
Day Four. Enjoy breakfast then we head home, full of festive cheer!
