5 Day GOOD COMPANIONS Holiday

Dornoch is a historic settlement nestling on the Dornoch Firth. The town is home to sandy beaches and a thirteenth century cathedral. We enjoy a tour and taste at Glenmorangie Distillery. We also head to Inverness to board our cruiser then set sail in search of dolphins and other wildlife in the Moray Firth. A holiday highlight is our day at fairytale Dunrobin Castle, a stately home dating from the 1300s, perched  high above the crashing waves of the North Sea. It has beautiful gardens, was used as a military hospital during the First World War, and later became a boys’ boarding school. We stay at the Dornoch Hotel, which stands in its own grounds, close to the beach and town centre. It has a bar with dance floor, sun lounge and a pitch and putt course.
