Plan My Trip

Some of the world’s most stunning scenery is right here in bonnie Scotland and many of the highlights grace the awesome Ayrshire coast. Look forward to uncovering the charms of the enchanting Isle of Arran, known as the “Gem of the Firth of Clyde” with its ever-changing coastline, mighty mountains, sheltered coves and verdant forests. We also visit the harbour town of Stranraer, pop into pleasant Portpatrick and explore marvellous Millport. Alternatively, guests opting for our weekender break will take in the delights of quaint Troon and bustling Ayr as well as a day in Arran.

Your Excursions

Dubbed “Scotland in Miniature”, the bonnie Isle of Arran crams the best of the mainland into an area just twenty miles long and ten miles wide. The main attraction is Brodick Castle & Gardens, a classic Victorian estate and National Trust Property that stands dramatically against the backdrop of Goat Fell Mountain. This majestic fortress boasts breathtaking views across the bay and houses impressive collections of period furniture, paintings and sporting trophies.

Stranraer & Portpatrick
Perched at the head of Loch Ryan, Stranraer is a pretty town and home to the Castle of St John – a unique medieval four-storey tower house dating from 1500 that was later converted into a jail. From here we move on to Portpatrick, a seaside town on the western shores of the Rhins of Galloway peninsula with pastel-painted houses set around a small bay.

We hop aboard our ferry and set sail for magical Millport on the tiny island of Great Cumbrae. This pretty town curves around an enchanting bay and is home to the UK’s smallest cathedral. Be sure to snap a selfie with the famous crocodile!
