Gairloch nestles on the shores of Loch Gairloch in the north-west Highlands with a backdrop of stunning mountain scenery and is the jewel in Wester Ross’s crown. We stay at the Gairloch Hotel, which has an amazing location looking towards the Isle of Skye. We include visits to the local museum, nearby Inverewe Gardens and Ullapool. A highlight will be our outing to picturesque Eilean Donan Castle, set on a small island at the confluence of three lochs.

Inverewe Gardens & Gairloch Museum
Dating from the nineteenth century, Inverewe Gardens is a lush oasis perched on a peninsula on the shores of Loch Ewe. We continue to Gairloch Museum, housed in a converted nuclear bunker and showcasing local history, culture and heritage.
Ullapool
A morning visit to the picturesque and historic fishing village of Ullapool on the shores of Loch Broom where you’ll find ancient buildings, fishermen’s cottages and old churches.
