Gairloch nestles on the shores of Loch Gairloch with a backdrop of stunning mountain scenery and is the jewel in Wester Ross’s crown. The village features welcoming cafes and there are sandy beaches and a nine hole golf course. We stay at the Gairloch Hotel, which has an amazing location, looking towards the Isle of Skye with an unspoiled beachfront fifty metres away. We include visits to the local museum, nearby Inverewe Gardens and Ullapool. A highlight will be our outing to Eilean Donan Castle, set on a small island at the confluence of three lochs.
PLEASE NOTE: Price is per person and based on two people sharing a twin/double room. Single room supplements and upgrades are not included.

Eilean Donan Castle & SkyePicture postcard Eilean Donan Castle is a fairytale fortress located on an island where three sea lochs meet. This iconic monument is surrounded by forested mountains and often features on calendars and shortbread tins. There is a modern visitor centre and within the fortified walls you’ll find period furniture, Jacobean artefacts, fine art and ancient weapons. Afterwards we enjoy a scenic drive on the Isle of Skye.
Inverewe Gardens & Gairloch Museum
Inverewe Gardens is a lush oasis perched on a peninsula on the shores of Loch Ewe. Dating from the nineteenth century, the gardens have been created over time and the exotic plants are nurtured by warm currents from the Gulf Stream. We continue to Gairloch Museum, housed in a converted nuclear bunker and showcasing local history, culture and heritage.

A morning visit to this picturesque and historic fishing village on the shores of Loch Broom.
