Plan My Trip

Celebrated for its Roman, Viking and medieval heritage, the walled City of York is a historic gem and perennial favourite. At its heart stands the breathtaking thirteenth century Gothic minster; truly a masterpiece of sculptured stone, functioning bell towers and stained glass windows. The city walls form a walkway on both banks of the River Ouse while York Castle is an imposing tower, set high on a mound giving panoramic views across the metropolis. Roam the labyrinth of alleyways, take a boat trip or sip a drink by the river. Perhaps broaden your mind at one of the absorbing museums such as the National Railway Museum or the award winning Jorvik Viking Centre where you can step back a thousand years. Out and about we visit the town of Beverley with its magnificent minster, dip a toe in the sea at Bridlington and enjoy guided tours of medieval York and the spa town of Harrogate.

Your Excursions

Guided tour of York
Look forward to a guided tour to get your bearings and your sightseeing off to a great start.

Guided tour of Harrogate
We enjoy a guided tour of this Victorian spa town, famed for its healing waters, the stylish Montpellier Quarter, the Grade II listed Royal Pump Room and splendid St Wilfrid’s Church. Afterwards, continue exploring at your own pace – perhaps have a cuppa in legendary Betty’s Tearooms.

Beverley & Bridlington
The market town of Beverley is noted for its impressive minster which dates back to the eighth century. We continue to Bridlington where you might care to hop on the land train that runs up and down the promenade or step aboard the Yorkshire Belle for a harbour cruise.
