Experience an intriguing blend of living history, sophisticated sightseeing and touching tributes. known as the Polish Venice, beautiful Wroclaw features a network of canals spanning the city. In medieval krakow you’ll find a Renaissance Palace and a cathedral which houses the tombs of kings and poets. An emotive visit to the Nazi concentration camp, Auschwitz followed by a tour of the salt mines in Wieliczka concludes our time in Poland. Moving on to the Czech Republic, with its glorious towers reflecting in the shimmering River Vlatava, beautiful Prague has been nicknamed the City of a Hundred Spires. The historical pearl of Europe, Prague boasts museums, theatres and trendy jazz clubs it has been ranked number five on TripAdvisor’s list of best destinations.
Your Holiday Itinerary
Day One. We travel to Hull for our overnight ferry to Rotterdam enjoying dinner, entertainment and breakfast on board.
Day Two. We make our way to our overnight dinner, bed and breakfast stop on the continent.
Day Three. Continuing to Wroclaw, we check into the Novotel Hotel for dinner, bed and breakfast. Afternoon at leisure.
Day Four. We head to Auschwitz where we take in a guided tour of this moving memorial and museum. Afterwards, we continue to Krakow and check into the Hotel Wyspianski for our three night stay.
Day Five. Look forward to a morning guided tour of krakow taking in the lower part of the city with its vast market square, famous Cloth Hall and the Renaissance Palace. We finish at the Wawel Hill area of the city where we explore the remarkable cathedral which houses the tombs of kings and poets. In the afternoon, we travel to Wieliczka for a guided tour of the salt mines. Spread over nine levels, these mines feature works of art, altars and statues sculpted in salt.
Day Six. Free day to continue exploring krakow – a city declared a World Heritage Site thanks to its abundance of well-preserved monuments. Interesting landmarks include the fourteenth century St Mary’s Basilica and Oskar Schindler’s factory.
Day Seven. We say goodbye to Poland and journey to Prague where we are treated to an afternoon guided tour. We check in to the Hotel Duo for our two night stay.
Day Eight. Continue exploring Prague at your own pace. Marvel at Prague Castle and be amazed by the baroque St Nicholas Church with its copper dome and belfry. Stroll the Gothic Old Town, wander around fabled Wenceslas Square and listen to the street musicians as you cross iconic Charles Bridge.
Day Nine. We travel to our overnight dinner, bed and breakfast hotel.
Day Ten. We head for our ferry back to Hull, enjoying dinner, entertainment and breakfast on board.
Day Eleven. We journey home after a truly memorable holiday.

Your holiday moves up a gear when you board your P&O ferry at Hull for your sailing to the continent. drop your overnight bag in your cabin then explore the ship or unwind with an aperitif in one of the bars.

All GLENTON continental holidays include dinner and breakfast onboard. Head to ‘The Kitchen’ buffet restaurant where your waiter will show you to your table and take your order if you wish to purchase any drinks. Then you’re free to help yourself from the wide selection of tasty dishes from around the world. At breakfast, choose from continental or a fully cooked menu. Alternatively if you fancy treating yourself, why not upgrade to The Brasserie Restaurant and enjoy fine dining with full waiter service?
Make your way to the Show Lounge and enjoy live bands throughout the evening – there’s even a dance floor if you fancy a wee boogie! Or slow the pace down at the Piano Bar where you can sip a cocktail as you listen to mellow music. Perhaps you’d like to catch a blockbuster movie at the cinema or try your luck at the casino.
Your GLENTON continental holiday includes an air conditioned inside en suite cabin with bunk beds. However, you can upgrade to a cabin with level beds and/or sea view for a small supplement. Please ask your holiday advisor when booking.

Where advertised our door to door service is available to customers living within ten miles of Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dunfermline and Hamilton. On our AIR & CRUISE holidays we offer an extended service with a radius of 35 miles from the listed points, for departures from Scottish ports and airports. Please call 08000 24 24 24 to check if you are eligable for our Door to Door service.

Our much-loved free Door to Door service is available on all Glenton Palmer Select coach tours of four days or longer and many of our AIR & CRUISE holidays. A home collection may still be available from outside these areas but a supplement will apply.
Where advertised this free service it may be necessary to share your vehicle with other passengers on your tour. The pick-up will be at the address of the lead name on your booking. Additional pick-ups may be requested at a supplement of £20 per person. You will be driven from your home to a coach pick-up point and, on occasion, you may have to transfer to another vehicle before boarding the coach. Unfortunately, for operational and administrative reasons, Door to Door service may not be available for bookings made within 21 days of departure.Back to top
