Our sunshine getaway is based in Malgrat de Mar, a seaside village that nestles between Calella and Lloret de Mar. The resort has a long sandy beach flanked by a promenade with sea-view bars and eateries as well as nightlife when the sun sets. The old town retains its charm with ancient buildings that blend seamlessly with modern hotels. Perhaps visit lovely Parc del Castell, which rests atop a hill, giving spectacular views of Malgrat de Mar and features flower lined pathways. Or maybe visit the 18th century Sant Nicolau Church with its striking neoclassical façade. If you fancy a taste of city life, both beautiful Barcelona and gorgeous Girona are within easy reach by local transport.
