Plan My Trip

This scenic holiday is based in Clifden, Connemara’s largest town nestling amidst mountains and craggy coastline and home to castle ruins and an interesting heritage centre. We stay at the Clifden Station House Hotel which occupies a former railway station and has a traditional bar set in the old station master’s house. Out and about, we sail to the Aran Islands, an outpost where Gaelic is the everyday language and transport is mostly by pony and trap. Here we are treated to a two hour tour taking in the isle’s secluded beaches, weathered ruins and tiny settlements where time has stood still. We also visit the harbour town of Galway, home to eighteenth century Eyre Square and a Latin Quarter. Includes an overnight stop in Letterkenny and a visit to Westport.

Your Excursions

We stop en route in this pretty town, which nestles in magnificent County Mayo. The town is home to several beautiful churches, quaint avenues,  a Georgian town centre which oozes charm as well as one of the country’s most stunning stately homes, Westport House.

Aran Islands
We hop aboard the ferry and set sail to the stunning Aran Islands, one the last outposts where Gaelic is still the everyday language. Look forward to a two hour tour taking in stunning beaches, weathered ruins and tiny settlements where time has stood still.

Today enjoy free time in this ancient capital on the west of Ireland. Celebrated in story and song, this handsome city offers a wonderful array of museums, the famous Spanish Arch, vibrantly coloured alleys and the unique Cathedral, as well as an unparalleled selection of speciality shops, often featuring locally made crafts.
