5 Day Coach Holiday

Bosworth Hall is located just outside the historic village of Market Bosworth and a short stroll from the battleground of Richard III’s last stand. Look forward to a day in Warwick, home to a gothic church, medieval hospital, beautiful parks and a clifftop fortress with dungeons. We also spend a morning in Melton Mowbray, the town where the phrase ‘paint the town red’ originated when young aristocrats ran riot painting buildings red! Guests on our June to September dates will enjoy a trip on the Great Central Railway, the UK’s only double track, main line heritage railway taking you from Leicester to Loughborough for free time. Holidaymakers on other dates will have a full day to enjoy Loughborough.

Great Central Railway† & Loughborough
An exciting day as we head to Leicester North Railway Station to board our Great Central Railway carriage for a nostalgic train trip to Loughborough. This main line heritage railway is the only place in the world where full size steam engines can be seen passing each other. Rest of the day at leisure in Loughborough – perhaps head to Queens Park where you’ll find a bandstand, museums, aviaries and the Swan Maze.

Melton Mowbray
We spend a morning in the quintessential market town of Melton Mowbray. Why not explore the country park with its sensory garden and nature trail or visit the Grade I listed St Mary’s Church. Followed by an afternoon in Market Bosworth.

Warwick
Perhaps explore Warwick Castle, Britain’s ultimate fortress with its ramparts, princess tower, and awesome interiors as well as a mighty trebuchet – an authentic recreation of a colossal catapult. Elsewhere in Warwick you’ll find fourteenth century Lord Leycester Hospital, home to a well preserved medieval courtyard. Warwick also has floral gardens and the eleventh century Collegiate Church of St Mary’s.
