6 Day Coach Holiday

With seven miles of beautiful coastline, Bournemouth is up there with the very best when it comes to the perfect beach break. Pitch your deckchair on golden sands, enjoy traditional seaside fun at the pleasure piers or hop aboard the little land train to see the sights. Relax in Alum Chine Gardens with its tropical flowers, shaded trails, and coastal views. Visit Russell-Cotes Art Gallery, housed in a Grade I listed building that is one of the most fascinating historic mansions in Britain. Catch the local bus to the Aviation Museum where you can climb into a cockpit as you view historic aircraft, including the newly arrived Hawker Hunter. When the sun sets, Bournemouth bustles with nightlife such as comedy clubs, theatre and casinos. It really is so much more than simply a seaside resort. Our exciting itinerary takes in the medieval cathedral city of Salisbury, and the colourful coastal town of Weymouth. If you’re staying for seven days, we add on the fantastic Beaulieu Estate where there truly is something for everyone.

Your Excursions

Salisbury
Salisbury is a medieval masterpiece with a magnificent gothic cathedral that has towered over the city for almost eight centuries and houses the best preserved of the four original Magna Carta manuscripts. One of England’s most handsome cities, its gridlike streets with black and white half timbered architecture are a joy to explore. Perhaps visit the National Trust’s Grade I listed Mompesson House with its period artefacts and hidden garden. Or uncover the stories of those who served their country at the Rifles Berkshire & Wiltshire Museum.
Weymouth
Weymouth boasts a World Heritage Jurassic Coastline, charming harbour and a grand Georgian seafront lined with al fresco cafés. Relax on the sandy beach or in one of Weymouth’s many parks and gardens or browse the independent boutiques in the town centre. Don’t miss Nothe Fort, built by the Victorians and now an award winning visitor attraction with underground passageways and themed exhibits including a World War II evacuee experience, air raid shelters and a wartime shop. Head up to the picnic areas on the ramparts and enjoy wonderful views out towards Portland and over Weymouth Bay.
Beaulieu Estate
Set within the New Forest, this captivating estate offers a wide range of attractions. Discover over 280 vehicles at the National Motor Museum including Formula One cars and exhibits of pioneering motoring. Uncover the fascinating history of the gothic Victorian Palace House in the company of a costumed guide, explore the World of BBC’s Top Gear, wander the serene grounds and gardens, enjoy rides on the open top Veterans’ Bus and the Skytrain, explore the Secret Army Exhibition, walk in the footsteps of medieval monks at Beaulieu Abbey or view the masterpieces at the art gallery (seven day holidays only).
