Itinerary
Cricket St. Thomas ~ Chard, Somerset
A regency country mansion in 160 acres of gardens
The scene of much of the famous TV comedy, To The Manor Born, Cricket St. Thomas was also frequently visited by Lord Nelson and Lady Hamilton. This classic country house is set in splendid parkland, with colourful gardens, lakes, and a unique woodland area. The hotel provides extensive entertainment, including nightly live performances, and excellent dining venues, including The Granary which is set in a pretty walled garden.
Excursions Included:
- We enjoy an excursion which takes us via West Bay to the seaside town of Weymouth with its beautiful golden sands and pretty harbourside.
- Wednesday: We make our way to the beautiful city of Wells with its historic centre, magnificent cathedral and the moated Bishop’s Palace. After spending some free time here, we continue to Weston-Super-Mare steeped with Victorian history and dominated by a fabulous beach.
- A day at leisure to enjoy the facilities at the hotel.
