Excursions Included:

  • In the morning we enjoy the drive out to the Elan Valley and the Dams Visitor Centre where we take a short break. Following this visit we return to Llandrindod Wells where the rest of the day is at leisure.
  • We enjoy an excursion which takes us to Aberystwyth where we join the Vale of Rheidol railway for our train ride along the former Great Western Line to Devil’s Bridge – this was the last route to operate steam trains for British Rail. A short walk from the terminus brings you to the spectacular Mynach Falls.  We enjoy some free time at Devil’s Bridge before catching our return train back to Aberystwyth.
  • We begin with a ride north to Welshpool where we have chance to explore before we continue our journey to visit the magnificent Powis Castle and Garden. Laid out under influence of Italian and French style, the famous garden has original statues, orangery and an aviary on the terraces.  The medieval castle, perched on a rock above the garden terraces, contains one of the finest collections of paintings and furniture in Wales.
