Join us on this pre-Christmas, festive tour of the Isle of Wight. The hotel will be suitably ‘dressed for Christmas’ and will feature themed entertainment throughout your stay. We include a visit to Osborne House, the palatial former holiday home of Queen Victoria & Prince Albert.

The Trouville Hotel, Sandown – 3 Star
Situated centrally on Sandown’s seafront opposite the golden beach and with panoramic views over the sweep of Sandown & Shanklin Bay. All of the well-appointed bedrooms are en-suite and are equipped with TV, telephone, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. The hotel offers a restaurant, bar, ballroom and function room. Some Live Entertainment during your stay. Lift.
Door-to-door pick-up and travel south for our ferry to the Isle of Wight. We arrive at the Trouville Hotel in the afternoon and are greeted with tea/coffee & mince pies on arrival. Check-in and settle into your room, time to relax before your evening meal, followed by Bingo in the Ballroom.
After breakfast this morning, we trvel to Godshill, with its charming thatched-roofed cottages. Godshill is the quintessential English village and boasts some of the oldest architecture on the Isle of Wight. With its delightful medieval church and winding main street lined with traditional tea rooms, Godshill is as picturesque as it is popular. After a short time here, we continue to the traditional seaside town of Shanklin. Spend some pennies on traditional seaside games and amusements on the Esplanade, or take advantage of the wide range of pubs and cafes. We return to the hotel in the mid-afternoon to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee & biscuits follwed by a Christmas Quiz. At 6.30pm, join us in Reception for a Wine Reception, followed by a traditional Christmas Dinner served in the Restaurant, accompanied by live music.
This morning we make our way to Osborne House for our included visit. ‘It is impossible to imagine a prettier spot’ said Queen Victoriaof Osborne House, her palatial holiday home. Visit Victoria & Albert’s private apartments, their bathing beachand children’s play cottagefor an intimate glimpse of royal family life. Weather permitting, stroll through the garden terraces where the stunning views across the Solent reminded Prince Albert of the Bay of Naples. We continue to Ryde, with long, spacious stretches of sandy beach, a thriving independent shopping scene and fabulous eating out. After a little time to grab lunch, we return to the hotel to unwind in the lounge & ballroom with a cup of te or coffee and Christmas cake. Your evening meal this evening will be followed by a Bumper Quiz of 2020 in the Ballroom.
We have the day at leisure to explore Sandown, which sits on the Southern coast of the Isle of Wight, sheltered in a beautiful bay, and boasts a traditional British seafront and pier. Be sure to return to the hotel this afternoon for tea, coffee & stollen served in the lounge and ballroom. This evening, we enjoy a farewell, candlelit dinner followed by live entertainment in the ballroom.
After breakfast, we leave the Trouville Hotel in time for our ferry back to the mainland and continue our journey homeward.Back to top
