There will also be some free time to explore the City of Durham and the historic market town of Alnwick.

Walk in the footsteps of Royalty at this historic hotel situated on the banks of the River Wear. We travel to Beamish – the Living Museum of the North. See the Colliery & Pit Village, Pockerley Old Hall, 1940’s Farm, Railway Station and Town, all of which represent life in North East England during the 1820’s, 1900’s and 1940’s.
We make our way to the Bowes Museum, a French Chateaux in the vibrant market town of Barnard Castle. Here you will find an outstanding collection of European fine and decorative art. Following this visit we return to Durham, where we have chance to explore before returning to the hotel.
We travel north to the historic market town of Alnwick for some free time to explore. We make our return to the hotel via the Northumberland coast making a stop in Whitley Bay.Back to top
