Captivating Cornwall

Enjoy a lovely selection of tours in beautiful Cornwall for 2020 ~ Located in the far west of Great Britain on a peninsula tumbling into the vast Atlantic ocean, almost completely surrounded by the sea, Cornwall is loved for its dramatic coastline, captivating fishing harbours, spectacular beaches and of course its pasties and cream teas!

All of our tours are based in St. Agnes, a picturesque village on the north coast of Cornwall, nestled in the lee of an impressive landmark which dominates the skyline of the beautiful and dramatic Atlantic coast.  Steeped in  mining history, the village still retains a traditional friendly Cornish atmosphere.

Itinerary

Rosemundy House Hotel ~ AA 3 Star

Visit the Hotel Website

This elegant 3-star standard hotel is set in over 4 acres of secluded gardens and woodlands and yet only a hundred yards from the main street in the quaint village of St. Agnes.  The Queen Ann style hotel is family run and has been tastefully extended and converted.  All the bedrooms have private facilities with colour TV, telephone, hairdryer and tea/coffee makers.  The hotel offers a Restaurant, Lounge, Bar, entertainment and outdoor swimming pool.  Sorry no lift.

Padstow  A charming working fishing port and foodie destination surrounded by glorious sandy beaches, at the head of the Camel River.

St. Ives  Attracting artists for decades St. Ives is a seemingly subtropical oasis where the beaches are golden, the vegetation is lush and the light piercingly bright!

Port Isaac  A traditional fishing village in north Cornwall and home to the TV series ‘Doc Martin’ starring Martin Clunes.  A truly picturesque village with narrow winding streets lined with whitewashed cottages that head down to the harbour.

Mevagissey  Mevagissey, a distinctive twin harbour town where pubs, cafes, galleries & shops cluster around the harbour walls and line the pretty streets in a typical picture postcard style.

Polperro  In Polperro it is easy to step back in time to what is largely an unspoilt fishing village where the small harbour offers spectacular views of land and sea.

Marazion  An ancient Market Town with stunning views towards the Lizard Peninsula and Land’s End.  A great place to visit at any time of year with its clear, turquoise waters of Mounts Bay and guarded by the island fortress of St. Michael’s Mount.

Lost Gardens of Heligan  200 acres of garden history, mystery & romance.  Twenty-five years ago Heligan’s historic gardens were unknown and unseen; lost under a tangle of weeds. It was only the chance discovery of a door in the ruins that lead to the restoration of this once great estate.

Fowey We enjoy a visit to Fowey, set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.  The town hangs off the west side of Fowey estuary and whilst here discover the Medieval & Georgian buildings that line the main Fore Street. (There is a shuttle service which operates from where the coach can drop off at the main car park – (However, there is a small cost per person, for this service).
