Day by Day Itinerary

Monday 19th March 2018

After being picked up from home and transferred to our coach we enjoy our outward journey making suitable stops en-route to Newquay and on to The Fistral Beach Hotel & Spa.  Your accommodation at the hotel is as detailed on your Confirmation Invoice with Evening Meals, Breakfasts and a ‘Taste of Cornwall’ package included.  On arrival at the hotel, we enjoy a delicious Cornish Cream Tea whilst taking in the views of Fistral Beach.

We enjoy a glass of Cornish cider with our evening meal this evening.

Tuesday 20th March 2018

After breakfast today, we travel to Truro – the UK’s most southerly city, a vibrant centre of shopping, culture and impressive architecture, right in the heart of Cornwall.  Centre stage is Truro Cathedral with its impressive gothic towers dominating the skyline.  In its shadow, a warren of compact streets is home to an impressive array of independent traders – and the café culture is pretty impressive too.

This afternoon we visit Skinner’s Brewery for a tour and a chance to sample some Cornish ales.

We return to the hotel afterwards and this evening enjoy dinner at the hotel with a Cornish twist!.

 Wednesday 21st March 2018

This morning, we travel to Falmouth, which is based around a thriving harbour and is the gateway to the beautiful River Fal.  The town is famous for its creative buzz with many art galleries displaying contemporary works.  There is a wide range of cafes, shops, galleries and bars, as well as being home to the National Maritime Museum of Cornwall and Pendennis Castle.

After time for lunch, our coach will depart Falmouth and take us to visit a Cornish Cider Farm, including a tour of the orchards, chance to sample some Cornish ciders and enjoy a Cream Tea.

We return to the hotel for a traditional Fish ‘n’ Chip Supper, followed by live Cornish entertainment in the bar.

 Thursday 22nd March 2018

Following a leisurely breakfast this morning, we travel to Padstow – a charming working fishing port surrounded by glorious beaches.  Watch the everyday ebb and flow of harbour life.

After some free time here to explore, we return to Newquay where we spend the rest of the day.  Voted one of the nation’s favourite seaside towns, Newquay has a laid-back atmosphere you would expect from a town perched on Cornwall’s Atlantic cliffs.  Perhaps take the town trail around Newquay to get an overview of the town’s heritage.  Follow the trail of discs sunk into the ground and discover all about Newquay’s evolution from fishing port to surf mecca!

At the hotel this evening, we enjoy a 5-course taster menu with a glass of sparkling wine.

 Friday 23rd March 2018

Your driver will advise you of what time your case needs to be outside your room, ready for collection to be put on the coach.

Following breakfast, we leave The Fistral Beach Hotel & Spa, Newquay and commence our journey home, again making suitable stops on our return.  Once we’ve arrived at your coach joining point, your taxi will be waiting to transport you to your home.
