Enjoy a lovely selection of tours in beautiful Cornwall for 2019 ~ Located in the far west of Great Britain on a peninsula tumbling into the vast Atlantic ocean, almost completely surrounded by the sea, Cornwall is loved for its dramatic coastline, captivating fishing harbours, spectacular beaches and of course its pasties and cream teas!

All of our tours are based in St. Agnes, a picturesque village on the north coast of Cornwall, nestled in the lee of an impressive landmark which dominates the skyline of the beautiful and dramatic Atlantic coast.  Steeped in mining history, the village still retains a traditional friendly Cornish atmosphere.

Itinerary

Excursions Include:

Prideaux Place (June Tour) ~ Living history on the beautiful North Cornish coast.  Since its completion in 1592 the same family have lived in this charming Elizabethan Manor.  Like the real family home it is, Prideaux Place is an engaging mixture of different periods and pieces. Exquisite Italian paintings jostle with family portraits and photographs, porcelain and antiques sit unselfconsciously next to comfortable furniture and assorted Prideaux-Brune memorabilia, every one of which evokes a nostalgic anecdote.  While here we also take time to enjoy the gardens, look out for the classical temple, obelisk, a grotto and an exedra, a small stone arbour housing funerary urns whose inscriptions date back to 50AD.  We also enjoy an included cream tea.

The Eden Project (August Tour) ~ Dubbed the Eighth Wonder of the World by some, the Eden Project is a dramatic global garden housed in tropical biomes that nestle in a crater the size of 30 football pitches.  Experience the sights, smells and scale of the rainforests in the Rainforest Biome – the world’s largest greenhouse – and discover the tropical plants that are used to produce everyday products.  Travel to South Africa and California, as you amble amongst the orange & lemon trees, olive groves and gnarled vines of the Mediterranean Biome, and in the 30 acre Outdoor Garden see hemp, sunflowers and other plants that could change your future, flourishing under the Cornish sun.

Falmouth (Februay, March, June & November Tours) ~ Based around a thriving harbour Falmouth is the gateway to the beautiful Fal River.  Falmouth’s maritime heritage and coastal culture is a huge part of its charm.

Padstow (All Dates) ~ A charming working fishing port and foodie destination surrounded by glorious sandy beaches, at the head of the Camel River.

St. Ives (All Dates) ~ Attracting artists for decades St. Ives is a seemingly subtropical oasis where the beaches are golden, the vegetation is lush and the light piercingly bright! There are art galleries to discover, relax with a drink at a pavement café, a working harbour and one of Cornwall’s top destinations to visit.

Port Isaac (March & August Tours) ~ A traditional fishing village in north Cornwall and home to the TV series ‘Doc Martin’ starring Martin Clunes.  A truly picturesque village with narrow winding streets lined with whitewashed cottages that head down to the harbour.

Mevagissey & Charlestown (March Tour) ~ Mevagissey, a distinctive twin harbour town where pubs, cafes, galleries & shops cluster around the harbour walls and line the pretty streets in a typical picture postcard style. Charlestown Harbour is an unspoilt, original Grade II Listed Harbour and home for a famous collection of old ships. Charlestown is also a key location for the filming of the BBC’s remake of the 1970’s hit series, Poldark.

Looe & Polperro (June & August Tours) ~ Looe is a lovely seaside town whilst still retaining a working fishing port. In Polperro it is easy to step back in time to what is largely an unspoilt fishing village where the small harbour offers spectacular views of land and sea.
