Enjoy tea coffee and mince pies on arrival before a welcome meeting from the hotel staff. After a hearty breakfast our tour today will take us to the famous city of York. Few British cities offer the magical charm and beauty of York with its outstanding architecture and 2,000 years of history that combine with the bustling shopping streets and award-winning attractions. Tourists from all over the world come to visit the Shambles, one of the best-preserved medieval streets in Europe. The street was home to the butchers of York and takes its curious name from the 'Shambles', the shelves where butchers used to display their meat. You can still see these heavy shelves in front of some of the shop windows and the hooks where the meat was hung. Later this afternoon enjoy mulled wine and mince pies when you return to the hotel. This evening enjoy your New Year's Eve Gala Dinner followed by tonight's Disco!
New Years Day 'Happy New Year' - Following your breakfast the remainder of the day is at leisure Why not take a stroll to the pretty village of Esholt, home to the original 'Woolpack' from 'Emmerdale' before returning back to the hotel in time for dinner.
We will sadly depart our hotel after breakfast for the return journey home arriving early afternoon. A comfort and refreshment stop will be taken en route when your driver can give you an accurate time of arrival if you are to be met by friends or relatives.
