The Pearls Of The Danube - Croisi River Cruise
Constructed in 2001 the MS Modigliani is 110 meters long and 11.4 metres wide and boasts 78 cabins with a capacity for 160 passengers. The boat's public and social areas are warm and welcoming with LED lighting, thick and luxurious carpets and sumptuous materials. The ship has a lounge with central bar, dining room, library, gift shop and a large sun deck with deck chairs. The entire ship has heating, air-conditioning and Wi-Fi.
PLEASE NOTE: Price is per person and based on two people sharing a twin/double room. Single room supplements and upgrades are not included.
Following our Channel crossing we travel to our overnight bed and breakfast accommodation.
We depart our hotel after breakfast and make our way to our overnight stay on a dinner bed and breakfast basis.
Linz Continue to Linz where we board the MS Modigilani. After comfortably settling into your cabins, introduction to the on-boardcrew at a welcome cocktail reception. Tonight enjoy dinner and an evening of on-board entertainment whilst we set sail for Vienna and cruise throughout the night.
Vienna We’ll arrive in Vienna early in the morning. Optional excursion: Visit to Schoenbrunn Palace, former summer residence ofthe imperial family, and tour of part of Vienna. This evening, Optional excursion: Tour of Vienna by night. After dinner we startcruising through the night.
Budapest The morning will be spent cruising. Optional afternoon excursion: Sightseeing tour of Budapest, once two distinct cities thatonly united in 1873. Enjoy an evening of “operetta music” on board. We’ll remain in port overnight.
Budapest Enjoy a free day in Budapest (excluding lunch) Optional excursion: Visit the Puszta, the Pannonian steppe grasslands(typical regional lunch included). Also called the Great Plain, this vast prairie was once known as the wild west of Hungary, and immenseherds of livestock grazed here under the watchful eye of the cowboys. Dinner will be served on board. Our ship will cruise through the night.
Bratislava The morning will be spent cruising. Optional excursion: Guided tour of Bratislava. The charm of the Slovakian capital lies in itsold city: splendid Baroque palaces, churches and pleasant squares. Start cruising towards Dürnstein. Tonight is our gala evening. Our shipwill sail through the night.
Dürnstein - Melk We’ll set off on an excursion to Dürnstein, the fortified village where Richard the Lionheart was once held prisoner.Afterwards, we’ll cruise along the most beautiful section of the Wachau Valley all the way to Melk. Optional afternoonexcursion: visit the Melk Abbey. Originally a Baroque-style palace built between 1702 and 1736, it is now a Benedictine monastery thathosts a prestigious coed school with more than 900 students. Start cruising towards Linz.
Linz Enjoy breakfast before disembarking. We then continue to our overnight hotel for bed and breakfast.
Travel to Calais and complete the journey home.
